Jewel Tones for Fall and Winter 2012

The first installment of my Fall/Winter trends series: JEWEL TONES!

Jewel tones are big this fall and winter, as they normally are. For those who aren't aware, jewel tones are colors such as ruby, emerald, amethyst, sapphire, citrine and garnet. Jewel tones are generally darker, more saturated colors that reflect the color of the jewel after which they are named. In my personal opinion, the best part about jewel tones is that they are in trend most falls and winters. Tones such as ruby, emerald, sapphire and amethyst have been on trend for the past 3 fall/winter seasons.
